Giving back to the community that supports us
At Moranbah Community Workers Club, community isn't just part of our name—it's at the heart of everything we do. Through our Community Partnership Program, we’re proud to have donated over $660,000 back into the local community, helping to fund vital services, sports clubs, schools, and grassroots initiatives.
Over the years, we’ve supported a wide range of organisations and programs. These partnerships help fund equipment, uniforms, events, education programs, and more - supporting the people and passions that keep Moranbah thriving.

Meet Chips
Our Sponsored Assistance Pup Making a Difference
The Moranbah Community Workers Club is proud to partner with Queensland-based organisation Smart Pups Assistance Dogs to sponsor a life-changing companion for a Queensland family.
In March 2024, we invited our members to help name the puppy—and with an overwhelming show of support, the winning name was “Chips”, in honour of our past President Basil (AKA Chips) Ashe.
September 2025 saw Chips complete his training and graduated as a fully qualified assistance dog.
We’re incredibly proud to support this initiative and be part of something so meaningful—not just for one family, but for our wider community.
